About EBO
Our mission is to humanise digital interactions through Artificial Intelligence. We combine conversational AI, intelligent automation and deep workflow integration. In healthcare, EBO partners with NHS Trusts to drive patient engagement, waiting-list validation and operational efficiency at scale. In financial services, EBO empowers banks and insurers to automate customer journeys end-to-end, from onboarding and claims management to customer care and compliance, using AI agents that understand intent, verify identity, and execute complex processes securely and efficiently. With operations in the UK and Malta and a growing client base across the NHS and Europe, EBO is expanding its technology to deliver enterprise-grade AI that combines human empathy with machine precision. The Opportunity
The IT Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day management of EBO's internal IT environment, ensuring that all systems, licences, and devices are properly administered and that the organisation meets its security and compliance obligations. This is a hands-on role that combines technical administration with governance discipline. The role operates within a broader team and will work closely with a subcontracted infrastructure partner, particularly for a key device management implementation project. The IT Manager will be the internal point of ownership for IT operations and compliance, ensuring things get done, are properly documented, and remain fit for purpose as the business evolves. This individual will be responsible for engaging with the business to ensure we continue to build a technical environment that scales and evolves as the business needs.Key Responsibilities
Device & Endpoint Management- Set up and configure laptops and PCs for new and existing employees, ensuring correct connectivity to EBO's internal systems.
- Maintain an accurate asset register of all IT hardware, tracking ownership, location, and lifecycle status.
- Lead the implementation of a Mobile Device Management (MDM) solution (Microsoft Intune), managing the relationship with EBO's subcontracted infrastructure team to deliver the project on time and to specification.
- Ensure all managed devices are kept up to date with security patches and configuration policies through the MDM platform once deployed.
- Administer Microsoft Azure / Entra ID, including the creation and management of user accounts, groups, roles, and access controls.
- Ensure that the principle of least privilege is applied consistently and that access rights are reviewed regularly.
- Manage Azure licensing, ensuring the organisation is correctly licensed and that licences are allocated efficiently.
- Maintain a complete and accurate inventory of all software licences across the organisation, including Microsoft 365 and all other applications.
- Manage the Microsoft 365 licence estate, allocating, reclaiming, and right-sizing licences as the team changes.
- Own and maintain an authorised software list for EBO, defining which applications are approved for use and managing the associated licence agreements.
- Ensure that all software in use is properly licensed and that any unlicensed or unapproved software is identified and addressed.
- Take ownership of EBO's compliance with Cyber Essentials Plus, ensuring the required technical controls are in place and maintained.
- Support and maintain EBO's ISO 27001 Information Security Management System (ISMS), ensuring that security controls are implemented and that evidence is collated in a consistent and audit-ready manner.
- Assess the cyber-security posture, prioritise remediation and ensure that agreed technical controls supporting Cyber Essentials Plus, ISO 27001 and relevant regulatory obligations are implemented and evidenced.
- Act as the internal point of contact for IT-related audit queries and external assessors.
- Manage the relationship with EBO's subcontracted IT infrastructure partner, overseeing delivery against agreed SLAs and project milestones.
- Work with internal stakeholders to understand IT needs, prioritise requests, and communicate timelines effectively.

- Predictable engineering delivery supported by appropriate standards, automation and measurable service levels.
- Cyber Essentials Plus and ISO 27001 technical controls remain effective, documented and audit-ready.
