Technical Product Owner

Who we’re looking for:
A methodical and detail orientated individual who will support us in building the best product on the market. We need someone who will work with our Product Director to organise the stream of information coming into the organisation and convert this information into detailed functions and features for our Product Team to develop.
This candidate must have a good grasp of technical concepts to guide our team of engineers. While deep technical expertise is not mandatory, an understanding of the software development lifecycle and experience working with development teams is essential. The role demands excellent project management skills, with experience in using Azure DevOps boards for backlog management and sprint planning. The ideal candidate should be an effective communicator, able to act as a bridge between the technical team and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring that our products align with business goals and user needs.

You will work alongside our brilliant Product Development and Solution Delivery teams to monitor the quality of both our EBO platform releases and our client bot implementations.

What you will be responsible for:
The following are the key tasks and responsibilities which will be expected of the EBO Product Owner. This gives a more detailed description of the role profile.
- Using business analysis techniques, develop user stories into detailed features within the product backlog. This includes feature scoping and requirements gathering. You will need to liaise with the various sources of potential new requirements (including clients and internal stakeholders).
- Create documentation about new features and liaise with development team to refine any technical requirements and support the transition from a business requirement to a technical one.
- Manage and optimise our Product Backlog. You will ensure that product features within our backlog have the required details and acceptance criteria. Liaise with our development team to provide acceptance criteria, of how they fit in the product.
- Plan and manage the release process using Microsoft Devops. Create releases and support our delivery teams to ensure the product is rolled out successfully.
- Support the successful roll out of new product features by creating the necessary communication strategy with the Company.
- Perform backlog prioritisation according to the focus provided by the Product Director via the Product Roadmap and plan backlog items for the upcoming sprints.
- Collect technical requirements from new projects which involve any custom plugins or require new development. Identify also if these new requirements make sense in the product and if they are worth developing.
- Demo new features to the company, to show them in which direction the product is heading.
- Work with the Product Director in order to support the development and maintenance of a cohesive Product Roadmap.
- Hold daily standup meetings with the development team in order to support sprint delivery and prioritisation.

Desired Competencies and Job Requirements:
- Working knowledge of web technologies.
- Exposure and working knowledge of swagger and API Integration methods
- Working knowledge of Microsoft DevOps and Microsoft Azure is necessary
- Thorough knowledge of business, systems analysis and Product Management
- Proven experience, 2+ years working in a similar role
- The chosen candidate should demonstrate good communication and problem-solving skills and the ability to work systematically and logically.
- BA or B.Sc. Degree in a technology stream is mandatory. Exposure to AI or Machine Learning is considered an advantage.
- Good knowledge of written and spoken English.
- Experience working in an agile/ scrum team environment
