Financing the Next Generation Economy: Dr. Gege Gatt Speaks at FinanceMalta 2026

EBO is pleased to announce that CEO Dr. Gege Gatt will be participating in the FinanceMalta Annual Conference 2026, taking place on 11–12 November 2026 under the theme “Financing the Next Generation Economy.”

The conference brings together leaders from finance, technology, investment, business, and government to discuss the opportunities and challenges shaping Malta’s future economy. Dr. Gatt will join the panel discussion “Who Funds Growth? Private Equity, Venture and Alternative Funds in Malta’s Capital Markets.” The session will explore how Malta can strengthen its private capital ecosystem and create the conditions needed to support ambitious, fast-growing companies throughout their growth journey.

The discussion will examine the role of private equity, venture capital, alternative fund structures, and government-backed investment initiatives in mobilising capital for the real economy. Panelists will also address a key strategic challenge: how Malta can retain and scale its most promising companies locally rather than seeing them relocate abroad to access growth funding.
