Midlands Partnership NHS Foundation Trust Embraces EBO's AI Solution
Recognising EBO’s technology as a key to digital innovation and patient empowerment, the Trust chose to deploy EBO’s AI Solution to help patients manage their appointments round the clock without the need to wait on the phone.
Overview
Midlands Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust (MPFT) provides physical, mental health, learning disability and adult social care services across Staffordshire, Stoke on-Trent and Shropshire. Serving a population of 1.7 million and employing around 8,500 members of staff, the Trust provides a vast range of community services for adults and children as well as specialised services, which are delivered in health centres, GP practices, community hospitals and people's own homes.
Initially deployed as a 12-week pilot project across services for patient led appointment management and e-consent, The solution provides an AI-powered digital front door for two-way patient communication with the Trust. At the forefront of this solution is EBO's AI Virtual Assistant (VA), seamlessly integrated into (and surfaced on) the Trust’s website and the Trust’s EPR (Rio).
Catering to the evolving needs of patients, this user-friendly platform enhances patient agency by placing appointment control and management directly in the hands of patients. It empowers individuals to actively participate in their healthcare journey, fostering increased choice, 24/7 access, self-management, and a more patient-centric experience. It also alleviates the strain on staff and reduces DNAs, saving precious time for the Trust.
